Ah, but will the OS let you do whatever pleases you? No *nix would allow
an application like cforth to kick the machine into flat protected mode
and take total control. You might be able to do this logged on as root,
but you would crash your OS.
A cforth variant could be written to coexist with *nix, Windoze, etc.,
but that's not the way it has been implemented so far. The source is
free for the taking for anyone who wishes to go that route.
