Are you doing PWM to get the color phase signals and lumanence signals in a 1-bit DAC-like construct? That'd be impressive. Otherwise, such a simple circuit would otherwise only be capable of monochrome (note: at the time I wrote this, I haven't checked out your link. I'll do that afterwards); thus, you'll get better visual definition if you use a true monochrome TV (since they have a true 6MHz video bandwidth, and not 4MHz).
Besides, I didn't say that a VGA's output circuitry involved less components. I said it was simpler. No composite waveforms to deal with. Anyone looking at the circuit can understand exactly what's going on by inspection only. It's trivial, despite the extra components.
Besides, there are MANY more VGA monitors in existance than TVs, *AND* they are universal, no matter what country you happen to reside in. Therefore, there is no NTSC, PAL, or SECAM contention to go around. For me, supporting the VGA standard is a no-brainer.
Now it gets interesting, thats the kind of info I love to see popping through! 
PWM can do color on a TV? hmmm, never thought of it, perhaps because
I dont know NTSC completely, since understanding the full standard hasnt worked. I can associate this to my alleged aerial nature, if it doesnt work I move. ;p 
I know the timing of the black and white, didnt knew about the simplicity
of VGA. Thanks for the tip, it helps me understand why programming those crtc 
registers. Story is great to have when we're learning, thank you again for
your valuable input, I enjoyed the time we spent on IRC.
BTW I never said I didnt want to learn, I'm the first to listen when you speak, 
I still think you're "a voice of reason" ALTHOUGH not regarding the need to
understand all those languages, unless you have time to loose. Right now,
I must do voluntary work to obtain my IBO diploma, and I want to do it in
Forth, in my Forth, my engine with what I truly want in it.

Same for my car, I never want to use a petroleum powered car, never.
And I wont allow that SHIT to continue. Air powered engines,
for common vehicules, with a opensource controller (ala MegaSquirt),
running Forth, my favorite computer interfacing language,
on perhaps your ForthBox hardware is entirely possible to do.
There's even a patent!! But I would love it even more running
on custom hardware!!!

I would love it to be able to light the light, make them believe its possible. Its not a sale, i dont want to sale something, I want to teach them technology, like you read great works of Litterature in a short story format. It hits you!
Diffsuing knowledge is easy, think of capacitive keypads and the bytecraft article. the guys goes beyond, he model the human body as a ground! I want to do research, 
I want a circuit to be powered by my own emissions, or perhaps those
of the cellular towers around, or the sun, radiant energy from tesla (not much, 
there's enough for eveyone but we must be wise).

I have my own little theory, that radiant energy alone (no light)
can make plants grow, I have to try it (see keelynet, chlorophyll energy)
and build something that enables me to prove that is has value.

Reality is really simple, see the new system of the atom,
unquantum.com, distinti.com.... its all changing! so fast, it
converges to simplification, to a better model of the Universe,
through unification of segmented branches of knowledges.
All it takes for it is experience.

What I learn in school is dull, fade and useless, 30 years behind...
let use work on some stuff, and then we can do history about how the
others before us were mistaken. Sure ts interesting to know, but hey,
we must go forward too. I can do that, at least I want.

I pay to go in a sect! I can do that online easly, through discussion groups lol

they're all related somehow. Even heard of an experiment using the
sun to make a tin sheet radioactive, by using a 10 inch fresnel lens.
(cant recall much more, sorry, but will search if someone is interested)

In the book the flower of Life there's a story about Aknaton, it makes
you understand much moore of those lyrics, of the value of it.
We saw the DeNiro Frankeinstein today in english, he argued at the University about the unification of all knowledge, from 
older sources, it was great! I almost saw myself lol
