I'll go for the simple boot sector. And if you can throw in pointers to
documentation on how to do a boot sector, and how to deal with modern hard
drives at the lowest level, I'd be interested in that as well. I don't have
the first clue on where to go seriously looking for that stuff for current
generation hardware.

I talked to mark slicker and I want to ask a question. Would you
rather see an elaborate bootsector written in Forth, or a simple
bootsector which merely injects binary code that just enters protected
mode right away, then passing control to code that loads from the
disk, etc?
