yeah. we still don't have a consumer computer designed for programmers, 
which you'd think would be the purpose of putting a computer out there - for 
people to program them.  instead the industry is just transfering mechanical 
or manpower tasks to the digital realm because it is cheaper and they can 
sell more of it that way. people "use" computers right now but they don't 
"program" them - that's "proprietary".

it's utterly backwards.  there should be a grassroots movement to produce 
cheap computers that are actually intended to be programmed.
