Interesting, having never had a ntsc product I assumed form my Mc-Gaw T.V.
handbook and memories of freinds experiences with Ntsc videos that you
couldn't get a stable colour signal from ntsc on pal, I happily stand
corrected.
I just received the kit today so sometime in the future it shall get handled
(as I am trying to complete a 30% report for my total quality management
subject). Actually I would recommend every body have a quick look at TQM,
I would reccommend the book I'm using "The Essence of Total Quality
Management" by John Bank, published by prentice hall in their Essence of
Management series for a quick overveiw. Take particular notice of the bits
on what quality is to the customer (what they require) the insights should
help with any business ventures and maybe even illustrate a path to better
misc processor design (mind you the customer assumes he wants/needs a PC,
but if you can change that perception and go back to basic needs and wants
and fullfill them with misc you can have a sucess).
IMPORTANT: Even though I have found that my Phillips (AMIGA) monitor is
probably going to be suitable for colour, I wanted a handheld LCD based TV
for another reason (actually I turned down an $40 PAL one the other week
which if I can get this stable transposed colour, would have been a good
buy :(. So if anybody has one of these almost useless things (well that's
what I think of three hours battery life) give me a mail, and if anybody can
tell me more about models that automatically will tune into pal or ntsc let
me know as well.
And to Christophe, what happens in Secam though?
By the way anybody doing Java for the xxx21, would be sure easy way to give
people an alternative to PC's ;) ?
Wayne.
