Dear Mark,

The price for the 5" TV set with radio and full-sized keyboard is $129 at first release of the product. It is $20 less than the set-top unit because the 5" TV comes originally with a power supply and cables, and plastic housing. The TV retails for $49.99 and costs $21.50. When we integrate our Internet with the TV we do not need to include connectors in addition to the cables power supply and plastic housing. We save about $8 in cost ($20 in retail).

The set-top product (retail $149) has additional costs for the plastic housing, the power supply, connectors, and cables. That $8 cost savings with the 5" TV must be added to the set-top product.

Both include the same keyboard so there is no cost or price difference for it.

The $49 price for Internet access is the price for adding the Internet capability to an existing TV (including keyboard). This price is for the manufacturers of TV sets. We expect the price to come down from today's $149 or $129 (depending on configuration) with our planned cost reductions. The $49 Internet appliance will be available in 18 months. The $149/$129 Internet appliance/TV will be available in 4 months.

With Kindest Regards,

Gary Langford
