Any thoughts on this minimal processor?

Maybe someone would find the following interesting.  What are people's
thoughts on building something like this (in terms of time, money,
learning value, etc.)?
 
It is not my work, I am simply reposting the announcement from
comp.arch.hobbyist.  Followups are there too.
