Dear Low Fat Computing mail list readers:
I guess I should attend the meeting of the Parallel Processing Connection
this Monday. SerialPlus, Serial Bus, Serial Express, Firewire, USB,
IEEE 1394, IEEE 1394.2, IEEE 2100, SCI, NGIO, FutureIO. Are you confused
by all these competing technologies? They sure are. They asked Dave James
to speak to PPC again this Monday. I should learn more about all these
competing standards before I say what is possible with F21.
>That's too big. My ideal computer is the size of a deck of cards.
I like the PCMCIA form factor. I would like a two card connector
connected to the PROM socket with a few extra selects from the pport
on an F21 card. Then you could add a couple of PCMCIA cards into
something the size of a pack of cards and drop it in your pocket.
The original P21 development system used 128k sram PCMCIA cards
instead of the later 128k x8 uvproms.
I also say, why not just put everything inside of the mouse? When
you pick it up and say, "Hello Computer?" it should say, "Yes, Scotty?"
